January/February Missionary News

Blessed be the name of the Lord, Blessed be His glorious Name!!

We are thankful to be back in Mexico after a great 3 week vacation in Florida for Christmas! It was wonderful to see so many friends and family! We are so thankful for and encouraged by each one of you!
Lacy, Alia, Noah and Molly enjoyed playing with
their cousins, Joel and Matt, while in FL.

God blessed us with two trunk loads of clothes to bring back to the people here. We were able to hold a fundraiser with the clothes out at the airstrip. The residents paid from $.50 - $1.50 for blankets, jackets, and other clothes. We raised over 800 pesos ($80) which we donated back to the airstrip community to improve their community building. (See our Dec. blog to see the photo of their community building “before” where we held our medical outreach.) Within one week of receiving the money, aluminum sheets were bought and the ripped tarps replaced on two sides of the building.

The residents were thrilled with the clothes. The blue and white striped tarp behind the people was replaced after the sale!

The side behind the wood pilings is where the blue and white tarp was.

Also exciting is the beginning of a children’s bible study that we started in the community on Saturdays. Our first week we had 7 children as we learned about “Creation.” Our second week we doubled that number as we learned that God made man, including each of us. The bible readings and crafts were well received by the children and their parents as well.

Thank you for your prayers!

For His Glory,
Carl, Lisa, Lacy, Alia, Noah and Molly
