Babies to Love

Today we had the privilege of being at Village of Hope (www.villageofhopeguatemala.com). We visit once a week to provide early stimulation to some of their younger children. Early stimulation is defined as: activities that arouse or stimulate a baby's sense of sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. It fills my heart with joy to be able to fulfill a need and love on the sweet children at VOH.

Always fun to roll on the therapy ball!

This little sweetie loves to color!

The kitty cat wanted to join in on the fun, too!

My happy place - snuggling a sleeping baby!

This precious one was strengthening her fine motor skills.

And some sunshine and swinging is always lots of fun!

Happy New Year!

2019! Wow, another year has gone by and we sit with anticipation of what the new year holds for us all!  We had a busy December - lots of celebrating!

On the 14th we celebrated Carl's 50th Birthday!!! We enjoyed having friends over to help us usher Carl into his 50s!

Then on the 15th we celebrated Willy's "Gotcha Day!"  1 year with our family!

The following week we were busy baking cookies, making ornaments and planning for our Christmas celebrations at the children's homes!

Our whole family had so much fun at the children's homes.  We shared the story of the birth of Jesus, and offered costumes to those who wanted to dress up.  We decorated and ate yummy cookies. Our girls gave out the ornaments that they had handmade for each child. And we finger painted some Christmas crafts.  We were all blessed and had a great time celebrating the birth of Jesus with the children! The smiles were priceless!

And, of course, we also enjoyed lots of good family time while our "big girls" were in Guatemala with us.
