Traditions in Mexico

Traditions from Mexico!!
Here are a few photos from the last few months. We've gotten to participate in many "traditional" Mexican festivities. Be sure to scroll all the way to the end of the post for 2 VERY amusing videos from a wedding!! Enjoy...

Ponche - traditional Christmas drink with lots of fruit and fruit juice.

3 Kings Day

3 King's Day bread called rosca. The person who receives the piece with the Baby Jesus is the one who has to prepare the tamales and host the next party on Feb. 2, the day where they celebrate Jesus being presented in the temple.

3 King's Day Pinata!

Noche de Rabanos (Night of the Radish)

The first dance at a Mexican wedding - dancing with the gifts. First - this video is dancing with a wardrobe (a gift to the wedding couple from their parents.)

The second dance was the dance of the gifts that were presented to the mothers of the bride and groom and godmother. Gifts included large baskets full of food, LIVE turkeys, flowers, and other wrapped gifts.
